  • Did you make a New Year’s resolution to learn a new language this year? We did too. Actually, MyFitnessPal is now available in five new languages: Indonesian, Malay, Polish, Tagalog and Turkish!
  • Besides learning some new languages, we’ve also made the app faster and more stable. There are improvements all over the place, including a faster barcode scanner and better Diary performance on the iPad.
  • If you’re looking for a little support keeping your resolutions, check out the community forums now available right in the app. You'll find some of the most helpful people you’ll ever meet.

  • It’s easier than ever to find your friends in the app. Did you know MyFitnessPal users who diet with friends lose twice as much weight on average?
  • For iPad users, we’ve updated the navigation to make it faster to add foods and exercises to your diary and see your progress.
  • The new recipe tool has received a number of enhancements based on your feedback that make adding manual recipes much easier. We’ve also been hard at work strengthening the ingredient matching quality.

Added HealthKit functionality
  • Add your meal summaries to HealthKit – You can now share meal data with HealthKit-connected apps every time you add food to your diary.
  • Sync your weight with HealthKit – If you have an app that records your weight in HealthKit, we can automatically sync that with your MyFitnessPal account. Likewise, if you track your weight in MyFitnessPal we’ll keep your HealthKit data updated.
  • Add exercises from other HealthKit apps to your diary – When you exercise with an app that saves workout data to HealthKit, we can adjust your daily calorie goal for you.

  • An improved navigation makes it fast (and fun!) to add to your diary. With the Add button you can track your food, exercise, weight and water consumption or post to your newsfeed from almost anywhere in the app. It’s also easier to get to your diary and see your progress.
  • In your diary, it’s easier to add foods to meals, and based on your feedback we’ve made further improvements to the diary editing tool.
  • Finally, a powerful feature we’ve been refining over the last couple of months: As you add food to your diary, we’ll occasionally show insights about how that food fits with your nutrition goals. These insights help give you a better look at how foods fit into your overall nutrition goals beyond just the calorie count.
  • Our Hello Healthy blog makes your journey to a healthier life easier, more fun, and delicious. It’s now available right in the app, optimized for your iPhone and iPad.
