Sync and Server Errors

Hello there,

Starting Monday, 7/8, and extending sporadically into this week, our members have been experiencing some server and sync issues within MyFitnessPal.  

Symptoms included, but were not limited to, the website not loading or displaying errors with processing a request, Fitbit not syncing, failed to sync errors in the app, and other issues related to sync. 

We are seeing these symptoms intermittently returning for our members.  This is because though we are resolving the errors being thrown by some of our services, we had not yet isolated the root cause of the issue.  

Through our investigation, we believe we've identified the root cause that is being the catalyst to these reoccurring issues this past week.  We are working to address this root cause in order to help continue to stabilize MyFitnessPal, but this will take some time to implement.  In the mean time, we continue to monitor our services closely in order to continue to address symptoms affecting our members.  

Currently: 
- MyFitnessPal is not experiencing any elevated error rates, and sync is functioning as expected.

- Fitbit and MyFitnessPal backlog is currently in good shape and members should not expect delays.  

We appreciate your patience as we work to keep things functioning for you until we can isolate the root cause, and our apologies for the ongoing frustration.
