how can I let a third person view my daily postings? Tatie8 — Nov 03, 2015 07:13AM PST

I want a third person to be be able to look inside my food dairy to see what I actually ate, the # of carbs and # of calories for reinforcement support.

How do I do that? I've connected to her via the myFP email but she can only see whether or not I entered my food data.

Thank you for taking the time to post in the MyFitnessPal support center.

To allow others to view your diary, you must adjust your Diary Sharing settings.

On the Web
Click “My Home” then “Settings” then “Diary settings”.
In the Android, iPad and iPhone apps

In the Menu (or “More” page) tap “Settings” then “Sharing & Privacy” then “Diary Sharing.”

Select your preference from “Public,” “Friends Only”, or “Locked with a key” and save your changes.

At the end of the day, when you have finished logging your diary, select “Complete This Entry.” This will create a convenient “View Diary” link on your friends’ news feed, if this option has not been changed in your News Feed Privacy settings.

Friends can also visit your profile page at any time and select “View Diary.” To visit a friend’s profile:

On the Web

Click “My Home” then “Friends” then click on a friend in the list. Or, enter a profile’s URL directly in your browser’s address bar:<INSERT_USERNAME_HERE> In the iPhone, iPad and Android apps Tap the “Friends” page, and select your friend from the list.

I am friends with 2 people. I can see one of my friend's diary. I can't see the other even though her settings are set so I should be able to. Neither one of them can see my diary even though my settings are set so they should be able to. Any suggestions on what we can try to get this working?

Thank you for following up with us. If everyone has already set their Diary Sharing to friends only or public, you will also want to check to make sure that you and your friends meal names match up. If one or the other are using custom meal names that could be the reason. Try aligning all three of your meal names to see if that corrects the issue.

I find this confusing--i want let my trainer have access to my diary--with all the macros available.

Does he have to be "a friend"?

Can you please explain step by step how I make this happen.

The answer at the top is not clear. It also tells me to click on "Sharing & Privacy." I see no such tab or option.

You do not have to be friends to have someone view your diary, you just need to adjust your settings.

On the Web
Click “My Home” then “Settings” then “Diary settings”.

From their you can grant access.

Hope this helps to clarify,
