Do we get notifications when someone likes or comments on newsfeed or message board post? CSylviaMarie — Jan 14, 2016 08:47AM PST
I'm sorry if this is not posted in the right section, but I'm wondering if we receive notifications on MFP when someone likes or comments on an item in our newsfeed, or replies to a message board post. I do see that I can get an email notification, but I really do not want my email inbox to be flooded with these messages, and I would prefer to receive notifications directly here on MFP if possible.

You can opt in or out of being notified of various Forum interactions by clicking the “Bell” icon (Notifications) then “Notification Preferences.” Please be sure to save any changes.
Please note we have not included email notifications in our first version of the Forums update. We plan to add this feature in a future release.
The MyFitnessPal apps for iPhone, iPad and Android can send you a push notification if certain activities take place on your account like comments and likes.
To begin, in the Menu (or “More” page) tap “Settings” then “Push Notifications.” (Older versions of the app: tap “Settings” then "Sharing & Privacy, then “Push Notification.”)
Select the notifications you’d like to receive.
You can also set a “quiet time” during which notifications will not be delivered. When everything is configured correctly, tap the “✓” button.
Please note that your device as a whole may have its own Notification settings. Make sure these are configured to allow notifications to arrive from the MyFitnessPal app.
