update personal information AnnieLHolland — Nov 17, 2016 10:07AM PST

I'm coming back to MyFitnessPal after several years. Since then, my name and address have changed, and also my current weight and my goals. I can't find where to change those things. Would it be simpler just to close my account and open a new one?

Thanks for posting your question. If you have no interest in your previous entries, saved foods, etc then deleting it and starting over would be fine, however, you can also quickly update your Profile page and your Fitness Profile.

To update your Profile page, which will have your city and postal code info, log into your account, select profile, followed by Edit Profile.

You would then need to update your goals and fitness profile information in the Settings, which includes: starting & current weight, weight loss goal, and activity level,

On the Website

-Log into our website at Mobile app users should log in using the same username and password they use in the app.
-Once you’ve logged in, click “My Home” then “Settings” then “Update diet/fitness profile.” Make any changes you desire, then click “Update Profile.”

‚ÄčIn our Android, iPad and iPhone Apps

-In the Menu (or “More” page), profile details are divided between “Goals”, and the “Settings” page under “Profile.”
-Tap any item you wish to edit, and be sure to save your changes by tapping the check mark, if available.

Warm Regards,
MyFitnessPal Staff
