Auto calory counter davros876 — Nov 22, 2016 04:16AM PST
I walk to and from work every day which is about 3 miles total and generally taked 50mins to an hr. It used to log roughly 150 or so calories of exercise/steps each way. In the last week or so it's dropped massively to about 50 each way. The step counter is staying the same and my speed hasn't dropped. Are these new figures considered more accurate or is it the old ones? I know they're never perfect anyway but a 200 cal difference is quite a lot. I don't mind either way, i'd just like to know

Hey thanks for posting your question. Please accept our sincerest apologies if you are now noticing your iOS step adjustment has changed from what you were used to seeing.
We are constantly working on making sure we are bringing you the most accurate information in order to help you achieve your goals. In such, with one of our recent iOS updates, we made an improvement to provide a better representation of your converted steps.
We feel with this change, though for some it may now result in a lower adjustment than they were used to, in the end it will be more beneficial and accurate for our members.
Please remember the calories you earn from your step adjustment are not a representation of the calories your burn for those steps, but instead are extra calories you may earn from your days activity when compared to what our program has initially already provided for you (including what is needed to meet the goals you have elected).
The best way to understand your adjustment is to tap directly onto it to see a break down of what you burned from the day compared to what we already provided for you to meet your goals, the difference is then the adjustment you will see.
