I am an active 62 year old female who works out 3-4 days a week. Most of your fitness tips that I receive through email portray youngsters, as in 20-40 age range (at least by appearance). Are there workout routines and tips for us older folks? I must not be the only one in my age group who is asking. Thanks!

Hey thanks for posting your question and for sharing your feedback regarding the images. We will certainly share it with our content team. Everyone’s individual health picture is different. The determining factor on whether the exercise is right for you, is your own body. If you are unsure whether you should start a new exercise, the best advice is always to check in with your physician before adding it to your regiment.

Warm Regards,

Excellent point Jonniwynne - as a 57 year old who goes to the gym 3 times a week, but who also has various age related conditions, it would be nice to have some tips for the less nimble !

Jonniwynne, I was about to ask the same thing. I'm 66 years old, in decent shape according to my Silver Sneakers instructor and fitness trainer; but I wish My Fitness Pal would look at adding content related to those of us who can't do floor exercises, or can't jump up and down. My SS instructor recommends your program to the group as an excellent way to keep up with issues, so if you could have a section for those of us who are "challenged" by some of the exercises and diet information you offer because of our age, that would be wonderful! BTW, "check with your doctor" for anyone who is fairly fit isn't a good answer. Our doctors usually don't realize, unless they attend our training sessions, just what we might be called upon to do.
