meals vs. recipes travelbabe5923 — Dec 21, 2016 08:47AM PST

What's the difference between meals and recipes? Is there an advantage to using one over the other? If I make substitutions, can I more easily switch out a single ingredient without having to input all the other ingredients again? And can I do that with meals, recipes, or both?

Hey thanks for posting your question. Essentially they are not that different. Both combine multiple items so that you may log easier in the future. The biggest difference is that the Recipe feature also allows you to import a recipe that you’ve found on another website, making the process a little faster than manually entering each item. You may also list all of the ingredients and then search for them all at one time. Another notable difference would be how they are displayed when logged in your Diary. A recipe will be displayed as a single line item with the calories for the combined ingredients, while a meal will add a line for each item and show their calories individually.

Warm Regards,
