Fitbit not syncing steps zoemccrossan — Jan 10, 2017 06:05AM PST

I've connected my fitbit and myfitness pal accounts but the steps/calories are not showing up. I've tried to manually push the exercise through but nothing has happened.

Hello zoemccrossan,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. I have looked into your account and can see the two programs are successfully linked but also do not see an exercise adjustment in your MyFitnessPal Diary. Would you please unlink and relink the two programs and see if the fresh connection can kick the sync into gear?

To do so:

- Log into your Fitbit Dashboard and unlink your MyFitnessPal connection from the Fitbit side of things. Log into your Fitbit account, click the gear icon and choose “settings”. Once inside the settings, click the Applications tab and locate MyFitnessPal. Once you find MyFitnessPal click “revoke” access.

- Log into MyFitnessPal and make sure that Fitbit is completely disconnected from the MyFitnessPal side of things. You can see if Fitbit is still linked through our website by clicking Apps, and then seeing if Fitbit is listed under the “Your Apps” section along the right sidebar.

- While still logged into your MyFitnessPal account please reauthorize your Fitbit account.

Additionally, once relinked please make sure you have Fitbit chosen as your primary step source within the MyFitnessPal app, which could be causing the adjustment not to come through. Would you please select Steps from the app menu and choose Fitbit as your primary step source.

Best,

Ripley
