i'm not getting reminders, please sort this

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Our apologies if you are having a problem with your reminders. Would you mind checking a few settings for the phone itself to see if we might be able to find the problem? While you are on the home screen of your phone (not in the app), could you please tap “Settings” and then “Notifications”.

Once in “Notifications” please scroll down until you find MyFitnessPal. Tap on MyFitnessPal and be sure you have chosen either “Banner” or “Alerts” for your preferred alert style. Also please make sure you allow the alerts to be shown in your notification center as well as on the lock screen. Also please note, even though there is an option in your device setting to have sounds turned on, our app currently does not support notification sounds.

Once you have verified that your actual device settings are allowing for the reminders from MyFitnessPal, can you please then go into the app and then go to the Menu (or “More” page), then “Reminders” and make sure you have set up your reminders the way you would prefer. As a reminder, once you have logged your first entry in the specific meal category selected, the reminder will no longer go off. It will only set if you do not log any entries at all for that specific meal category.

If you are using an iPhone please check in the Settings app to make sure that you have not turned on Do Not Disturb during the time that you are expecting to receive your reminders.

If your settings look good and you are still not receiving your reminders, please try removing all of your current reminders and setting up new ones and follow up with us if you are not seeing those reminders come through the next time around.
