One reason we need to be able to delete an item from RECENT foods. jim3997 — Jan 11, 2017 07:26PM PST

Hi. Pretty often, I have to update an item in the database when a new version of a product comes out and some of the nutrition values have changed. So I update it (or find one in the database that has already been updated) and add it to my diary. Then when I eat it again, the updated one and the original one show up in RECENT foods, and it's all to easy to click on the wrong one and start using it again. When they both show up I often end up having to go back to the label to see which one to use. Once an item in the RECENT list is no longer valid due to an updated product, it would be really nice to be able to get it out of there!

Hi. I intended this to be a FYI item, something that would be nice to do one day. I figured out a decent way to work around it just today: For items with out of date nutrition info showing up in my RECENT list, I enter them in the past on Jan 1, 2001(01/01/01) at a ridiculous serving size. So now when I see an old and new version of that item in my RECENT list, I know to avoid using the one that is showing the last serving size at 20,000+ calories. If I can keep from ever entering it again, it should work its way off the RECENT list eventually. But it would be really great to be able to delete such items one day. Thank you, Jim Lloyd.
