Garmin steps creechwilliam — Jan 12, 2017 04:03PM PST
I have a Garmin Vivioactive HR. I am trying to lose weight. I record my steps with Garmin connect. I am noticing that for about every 1000 steps I burn 100 calories. This seems really high. I have my activity set at lightly active. I have my Garmin connect set to activity class 3. I feel I am receiving too many calories for walking. I think I set something up wrong.

Hey thanks for posting your question. Sorry for any confusion regarding your calorie adjustment. The calorie adjustment is not showing your tracked exercise calories but rather the amount by which your total calorie burn for the day has exceeded our calculation for your day to day calorie burn. This means that your adjustment line will show as 0 until you have earned the extra calories in the form of an adjustment.
If you would also like to track your steps with your device, please open the Steps tab in the Menu screen and select it as your source for steps tracking
