I updated my fitbit and now it won't sync to myfitnesspal. I have tried all of the suggestions at the FAQ board and nothing has worked. Why won't it sync?

After looking into the status of your account, all looks to be working correctly.
Though you may have earned a certain amount of calories and steps with your Fitbit, in order to see a calorie adjustment in your exercise diary, the number of calories that Fitbit projects you will burn for the entire day must be more than the amount of calories MyFitnessPal believes you will burn, or has already provided for you based on your profile or other added exercise.
If you are wearing your Fitbit during the day, we recommend that you not manually log any exercise to your MyFitnessPal Exercise Diary that the Fitbit excels at tracking: this includes walking, jogging, running, climbing stairs or hills, or daily home or office activity. These will be more accurately recorded by the Fitbit and will then transfer to MyFitnessPal as part of your Fitbit Calorie Adjustment.
When you first join MyFitnessPal, we ask you for your weight, height, age, gender, and your normally daily activity level. We then use all this information to provide you with your daily goals based on an “average” from the information you provided. However, since these goals are based on an “average” activity level, this may vary for each person.
The Fitbit is designed to give you a more precise account for your personal daily activity level. When you originally choose your activity level on MyFitnessPal, you may think that you are an “active” person. MyFitnessPal will then automatically give you goals based on what an “average” active person may burn through the course of the day. However, if you are wearing a Fitbit, that average may change based on your “actual” activity level. You may not actually be as active as an “average” person or you may be more active.
If you are not as active as the original activity level you chose, then, depending on how you set your Fitbit account to be linked with MyFitnessPal (MyFitnessPal gives you the option to either have a negative adjustment or only a positive one if you are due) your daily calorie goal will either not be effected, showing a 0 adjustment, adjust up providing you with additional calories or even go down, subtracting calories from your daily total.
In other words, MyFitnessPal may have given you a daily goal of 1700 calories based on your profile information, but activity recorded by your Fitbit may result in a projection that you will only burn 1600 by the end of the day. MyFitnessPal will now either give you no adjustment and keep your calories at 1700, or if you chose to allow negative adjustments, it will deduct 100 calories from your daily goal to bring your goal in line with data from Fitbit.
Depending on when you sync your Fitbit with MyFitnessPal, this goal may also fluctuate throughout the course of the day. If you sync your Fitbit in the morning after a work out, you will get an estimate based on that activity level. However, if you sleep the rest of the day, it will adjust again according to this new information.
Details about the calculation of any adjustment can be viewed by clicking the small “i” next to the adjustment in your Exercise Diary (on the full website), or by tapping the adjustment itself in the Exercise Diary of the MyFitnessPal on the apps. If you do not see a line that says Fitbit adjustment in the cardiovascular section, then there may be a problem with the sync. However, if you do see this line, then it should be syncing correctly, even if it says 0.
If you find that you are continuously not getting an adjustment or are constantly receiving a negative adjustment (if you elected for the negative option), you may want to change your originally chosen activity level on MyFitnessPal. You can do this online at www.MyFitnessPal.com. Just go to the main “settings” tab and then to “diet/fitness profile” and change your daily activity level. Make sure to update at the bottom of the page.
By default, MyFitnessPal will show you only positive calorie adjustments. To permit negative adjustments, log in to the full MyFitnessPal site at http://www.myfitnesspal.com and click “My Home” then “Settings” then “Diary Settings.” Check the box for “Enable Negative Adjustments” then click “Save Changes”
If you are typically unable to sync your device until late in the day, you may wish to leave negative adjustments “off.”
