Deleting recipes dgcctoth — Jan 29, 2017 02:11PM PST

I need to delete recipes from the food list, not directly from the recipes. The recipes do NOT sort alphabetically, they sort in the order they were entered. They are alphabetical in the food list and I am able to see that I have duplicates I need to remove. All the deletion instructions I have seen are for deleting them directly from the recipe page. I need to delete the duplicates from the food list.

Thanks for asking. The Frequent and Recent lists are designed to automatically add to and delete based on frequency of use. However, since the lists can hold several items, this may take time before items start to automatically drop off the lists based on a lack of use.

Currently, you can only manually delete items from the frequent list, and this can only be done in our iPhone and iPad apps, or online, at www.MyFitnessPal.com (sign in with the same username and password as the app). Though, at times, when you delete them from the website, they may also delete from the app, this may not always be the case. Sometimes, the syncing between the two does not pick up the item has been deleted, and therefore they remain on the app, even though they’ve been deleted on the website.

The recent list can not be manually deleted from. We understand this can be a bit frustrating for our members who would like more control over their lists, and we are definitely looking into finding ways to add more as a future possibility.

Warm Regards,
Logan
