Garmin is not syncing with Myfitnesspal bbranlund1 — May 08, 2018 11:44AM PDT

I see there was a previous problem, has this problem been resolved. I am trying to link my Garmin activity calories with my food calories to get a good read on the number of calories I can eat. I get the message in Garmin "Just a minute. We're syncing your accounts"

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Can you let me know the platform you are on (Android, iOS, Web) and the exact steps you take when trying to link Garmin to MyFitnessPal?

Much appreciated,
Bruce

I sign into Garmin Connect through Google - (https://connect.garmin.com/modern/) on my Lenovo PC, I go to my Dashboard, In the Calories In/Out box, I click on "Connect to my FitnessPal"
(rack Your Calories
Use your free MyFitnessPal account and app to track your food throughout the day, and see it in Garmin Connect. With connected accounts, it’s simple to compare your calorie intake with the calories you burn while using your Garmin device.

Connect to MyFitnessPal) and then Consent. then I get the message I discussed above.

Is this the answer that you want?

Thanks for getting back to us. Could you first try clearing your cache or deleting your cookies? The following links should assist you with either:

EMPTYING YOUR BROWSER’S CACHE

If you are using Safari 6 or later, the correct instructions are here

If you are using Internet Explorer 8 or higher, please note that you should uncheck the “preserve data for favorite websites” option if you have MyFitnessPal favorited or bookmarked.

CLEARING YOUR BROWSER’S COOKIES

If clearing your cookies and cache does not resolve the problem, will you please try unplugging any internet equipment (routers, modems, wifi stations) for at least 30 seconds to give them a chance to power cycle? If your router is to blame, this should sort things out.

If that does to help, we would recommend reaching out to Garmin for more support.

All the best,
Bruce

Thank you - I was on vacation, but will try to implement your recommendations and see what happens. So far I haven't seen any changes, but will continue to try all the recommendations.

Well Bruce, I tried your recommendations and still cannot get a sync between Garmin Connect and MyFitnessPal. BTW-I do not subscribe to premium - does that make a difference? After I have been trying to chat with Garmin, but they are not available yet.

Our apologies you still have not yet been able to link your accounts. We would recommend reaching out to Garmin for more support. If you have a mobile device and the Garmin Connect app there, you can also try linking the accounts through the apps.

Regards,
Bruce
