Apple workouts not syncing to MFP diary manthaleigh — May 14, 2018 09:56AM PDT

I have seen several threads about this issue with the typical instructions of checking privacy settings, having latest version and uninstall/reinstall app to fix the issue of the Apple watch workouts not syncing to the MFP diary BUT I HAVE YET TO SEE A REAL SOLUTION when all of the typical have already been addressed. PLEASE if it is just a software error then just say that because if it isn't that what is the problem? Before having the apple watch I had no problems using the iPhone MFP app for everything and now that I recently got the Apple watch would like to use it fully. I tracked my workout in Apple watch under "outdoor walk" (the pre-made option not an "other" option) and it still will not sync. PLEASE HELP.

Hi there,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. It looks like your Apple Watch is not set as the steps source and your Fitbit is. Can you set Apple Watch as the source and see if that helps?

If that does not help, could you try a fresh reinstall of the MyFitnessPal app and relink your Apple Watch and HealthKit to see if that will help?

Once reinstalled, in MyFitnessPal tap More>Steps>Apple Watch and you should be taken to a page to turn some Categories On. Turn them on and then tap More>Settings>Sharing & Privacy>HealthKit Sharing and you’ll be taken to another page to turn On more Categories. This should relink your Apple Watch and HealthKit.

If after the reinstall, if you still have an issue with exercises not syncing, please let us know. You can check the link here for more information on what exercises will sync from your Apple Watch.

Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or feedback.

How do I set the Apple Watch as the steps source, when I have a Fitbit. Do I have to uninstall the Fitbit?

Hi BrendaHCollier

Once your Apple Watch and HealthKit are linked to MyFitnessPal, you’ll see the Apple Watch under More>Steps. If you run in to any issues, please let us know.

All the best,
