MFP is not syncing with my FitBit tracker today. Only showing 140 steps, hasn't updated in several hours.

Hey thanks for posting. Sorry for any trouble with your fitbit integration. Please try initiating a manual sync from both apps, starting with fitbit. Then open MyFitnessPal and click Sync at the bottom of the Menu screen. As a fitbit user myself, I find that I occasionally have to do this to see my up to date numbers.
If you are still experiencing an issue after forcing a sync manually, please try unlinking the accounts at www.myfitnesspal.com, then revoking access on fitbit.com, waiting 15 minutes, and then relinking them on our site. Keep in mind that only new information, completed after they are reconnected will sync.
Steps to revoke access:
1. Log into Fitbit.com
2. Click the Settings Icon (Looks like a gear) and choose “Settings”.
3. On the left side, click the Applications tab and locate MyFitnessPal
4. The option to “Revoke Access” will show in blue if your account is still linked.
5. Wait 15 minutes before attempting to relink the accounts.
6. Return to MyFitnessPal.com and reconnect the accounts in the Apps tab
Please remember to revisit the steps tab in our menu to reset fitbit as your source for step tracking.

-- I manually synced from both apps, starting with Fitbit. That did not do anything.
-- I unlinked the accounts at myfitnesspal.com. That did not do anything.
-- I revoked access on fitbit.com, waited 15 minutes, and then re-linked the accounts.
-- I have double-checked that my fitbit tracker is set as my source for step tracking.
-- I turned my phone completely off, waited a few minutes, and turned it back on.
Unfortunately, nothing has worked so far. My steps are still stuck at 140 for the day.

Thanks for posting. Sorry for the trouble with your fitbit integration. When we view your account status for yesterday, the 16th, we are currently seeing that fitbit reported 9745 steps and 1949 calories burned as of 11:59 pm). We are showing that you received an adjustment for 196 calories for your tracked activity. Please follow up with us if you are not seeing the adjustment line on your end or if the amount reported by fitbit in your adjustment details does not match what is showing in your fitbit dashboard for the same time.
Keep in mind that the calorie adjustment is not showing your tracked exercise calories but rather the amount by which your total calorie burn for the day has exceeded our calculation for your day to day calorie burn. This means that your adjustment line will show as 0 until you have earned the extra calories in the form of an adjustment.

My original question had nothing to do with calorie adjustments. I know how they work. My issue was that my steps from my fit bit tracker weren’t syncing with MFP. Until I manually deleted the MFP app and then reinstalled it around seven or 8 PM, my steps were at 140 for the entire day. The problem was corrected when I deleted the app and reinstalled it; however, I had to do the same thing the following day a couple of times in order to get the steps to sync. I don’t think that’s how the app is supposed to work.

Thanks for following up with us. You are correct. The apps should be syncing without the need to uninstall and reinstall them. Fitbit does have a setting to allow All Day Syncing. Please check your fitbit app’s settings to make sure that this is enabled. Looking at the account status today, it looks like things are still working as expected. Please follow up with us if the issue should resurface.
