Fitbit Calorie Adjustment Andehh — Jul 05, 2018 02:13AM PDT

I've read through many Fitbit-related questions but haven't seen this one asked...

My Fitbit seems to be syncing fine with MFP but doesn't seem to have made a final adjustment for the end of the day. Yesterday, I did a long workout in the afternoon, burning ~1300 calories. MFP last took a sync at around 10pm and estimated my total calories to be 5200 for the day. My actual total calories for the day were 4600 but I didn't sync again until this morning. Now it's syncing today's calories correctly but has not updated yesterday's.

I've also just noticed that it has counted an extra 10k steps in MFP compared with Fitbit... This has made me realise that it's probably when I manually added an additional workout in Fitbit to test something.. I subsequently deleted that workout but I think that's where the extra steps and calories have come from in MFP.

It looks like it syncs additional exercise from Fitbit but won't remove any, even if it is subsequently deleted from Fitbit.

Is there any way to correct this?

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Could you try relinking Fitbit from both ends to see if that will help with future days?

To unlink your account, log in to your MyFitnessPal account at, then visit this link:

Your connected partners appear on the right edge of the page.

Click on any of your integration partners, then click “Disconnect” to unlink your accounts.

Once you have disconnected from MyFitnessPal, log in at and click the gear icon, then Settings>Applications. Click Revoke Access for MyFitnessPal.

This should refresh your link on both sides, instead of just one. You can then link them again at

Once relinked, please be sure to set Fitbit as the Steps source once again.
