Google Fit Steps disappeared when entering separate exercise thatsjustgreat — Jun 06, 2019 05:47PM PDT

I track my steps using Google Fit on my phone. Up until a few minutes ago, MFP tracked the steps I took today with Google Fit. Then I went for a walk without my phone. When I entered the walk into the exercise portion of the diary, my Google Fit steps disappeared, as did the extra calories I'd earned from those steps. How do I get them back?

Hey thanks for posting your question. Walks are automatically counted as part of your steps so you would not need to log an additional walking exercise entry. If you delete the walking exercise your calorie adjustment should repopulate.

When you add an individual exercise entry, you’ll notice that you are already getting for credit for the exercise’s calorie burn in your calories remaining summary. In your adjustment detail it gets added to the MyFitnessPal number, reducing your Google Fit calorie adjustment by the amount of your individual exercise entry, to avoid receiving double credit for the activity. If this makes the MyFitnessPal number greater the adjustment will go back to 0 until the Google Fit number once again passes it.

Kind Regards,
