My Fitness Pal App stopped showing Fitbit Surge steps donander — Jun 07, 2019 10:47AM PDT

Steps from my Fitbit Surge were showing up in the My Fitness Pal app on my phone but then stopped updating. I followed the procedure given by Logan at this link

and this morning reconnected to Fitbit within the My Fitness Pal app and it showed I had 4 steps, which was ok because I had just gotten out of bed. But now it is 4 hours later and the My Fitness Pal app still shows only 4 steps, even after I force a sync in the app. The Fitbit app on my phone is showing the correct amount of steps, currently 1,915. This is the same as shown on the Surge display so I know the Surge and my phone are communicating. The My Fitness Pal app shows I am connected to the Fitbit Tracker. If I tap on it I see the "Disconnect" button, also indicating it is connected. This was working fine and then just stopped working a couple of days ago. My phone is the Samsung Galaxy S9+. I shut my phone down last night and turned it back on (not restart but off then on) so I've already tried that.

Any help would be appreciated.
