Are duplicate entries ever deleted? JennieMae42 — Jul 11, 2019 10:15PM PDT

I see that in the android app, there is an option to "Report Food," and one of the options is to report that it is a "Duplicate of Existing Entry." From what I can tell, NOTHING HAPPENS after clicking this option!!!

The database is littered with old entries, misspelled entries, etc of the same exact food. I have to search through multiple BAD entries before finding one that is correct, or finally giving up searching and just picking one to correct, and then hoping that I find that same exact entry the next time I have the food.

This is very frustrating. If MFP needs volunteers to go through periodically and clean up duplicates, I would be more than happy to step in to this role!

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We are constantly updating the database and removing inaccurate entries, but it does take some time before a reported entry is removed. We hope to improve this process for the future.

In the meantime, thanks so much for using the program. Please let us know if you have any additional feedback, problems or questions. We wish you all the success in reaching and maintaining all of your diet and fitness goals.
