On the Web and in the iPad and iPhone app
While MyFitnessPal tracks a wide variety of nutrients, for spacing purposes we cannot display all of this data on your Food diary at one time. However, we do allow you to choose up to five nutrients (plus calories) to view on the diary page of our website and our iPad app, and the latest version of our iPhone app (when you rotate the iPhone app to the landscape position on the diary page). These settings can be adjusted on our website, and the changes will sync to the iPad and iPhone app when you launch it next.
First, log into your account on at http://www.myfitnesspal.com Mobile app users should log in using the same username and password they use in the app.
Once you’ve logged in, click “My Home” then “Settings” then “Diary settings.” On the following page, you can customize which nutrients are tracked in your diary. You may track up to six items, one of which must be calories.
If you would like to view the totals of other nutrients that are not on your home page, click “My Home” then “Reports” then “Nutrients” (on the web) or “Home” then “Nutrients” on the iPad app. There you can choose any nutrient we track, along with the time frame you would like to view.

Are there any plans to increase the number of nutrients tracked in the near future? You provide 17 choices but only 6 can be tracked. Using notes does not work for me.

Thanks for following up with us. Please accept our apologies if your suggestion has not yet been added to the program. We highly appreciate member feedback and we do our best to add as many recommendations as we can. We follow certain guidelines when improving our program, such as the number of requests we receive, along with the ability to be able to add the feature.
Though many features may seem like an easy addition, there are many behind the scenes complications for even the simplest of request, especially since our program is so complex and runs on several platforms. The feedback we receive is noted and shared with our developing team, and we will continue to do all we can to try to add the most requested features when possible.
In the meantime, thank you so much for using the program and for sharing how we can improve upon it. We wish you nothing but success!
