How can i get the MFP app to recognise steps taken on fitbit.
device is connected, but steps do not register.

Please accept our apologies for any problems you are having with your Fitbit and MyFitnessPal integration. Can you first please check your Fitbit.com dashboard to make sure your information has synced up to Fitbit. If you are able to see your information on the Fitbit site, and it has been 15 minute or more, and you are not yet seeing it transfer over to MyFitnessPal, you can try to force it to sync from MyFitnessPal.
To do this, go to your cardiovascular section on MyFitnessPal, and then add in a mock exercise entry, something like 1 minute walking should do. This should then trigger Fitbit to sync once more (again, it could take up to 15 minutes). You can then go back and delete that mock exercise entry after your adjustment shows up (just hit the red circle to the right of the entry).
If trying to force the sync to happen via the cardiovascular section still does not work, would you mind trying to unlink and relink the two programs online to see if that may help resolve your problem?
To unlink your account, log in to your MyFitnessPal account at http://www.myfitnesspal.com (if you use the MyFitnessPal app, use the same username and password to log in online), then visit this link http://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps/
Your connected partners appear on the right edge of the page.
Click on any of your integration partners, then click “Disconnect” to unlink your accounts.To reconnect please go to: http://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps/show/30 and click “Connect” You will be taken to a page at fitbit.com where you can authorize the connection between your MyFitnessPal account and your Fitibt account. (If you are not already logged in at Fitbit.com, you will need to log in before you can complete the authorization).
Please also make sure that you have that your profile information, including your time zone, matches on both your MyFitnessPal and Fitbit accounts.
Once you have established the link again, you should be able to verify that the information is now transferring over to your MyFitnessPal account (please note this can take up to 15 minutes to correctly transfer). After you have synced the accounts, a good first resource you can check, is to see if your correct Fitbit steps have transferred over.
You can check this by going online to www.MyFitnessPal.com, then go to “My Home” tab, click “Check-In”. There you should see an area for Fitbit Steps, with the correct amount of steps you have taken from your last Fitbit sync transferred over. For direct access to this area please go to: www.myfitnesspal.com/measurements/check_in
If you are not seeing any information in this field, the first thing we’ll need to determine is whether the sync issue is occurring between your FitBit/Computer/Fitbit.com or between Fitbit.com and MyFitnessPal.
In theory, once your FitBit data reaches Fitbit.com, it should update the MyFitnessPal site within 15 minutes. So the first question is, does your FitBit successfully upload its data to FitBit’s website? If not, you would need to try contacting them first. If your data is getting to Fitbit.com but then not syncing from there to MyFitnessPal, we’ll be able to look into that from our end of things.
Here’s how we can test for where the process is interrupted.
On the Fitbit.com site under your name in the right hand side of the Dashboard page, the site will tell you the last time your FitBit synced data to their site. If this status is within fifteen minutes of the last time your FitBit had a chance to send data to your Fitbit docking station, then the problem is likely at our end. However, if FitBit’s site isn’t updating regularly, even though you’re passing near your charger, then the Fitbit tech support team is going to be a better resource for you to resolve this issue.
