MyFitnessPal not posting to facebook. CincyNeid — Sep 02, 2016 07:55AM PDT

When I post a status update the status update is getting pushed to Facebook with no problem. However when I log a workout it's not getting pushed to Facebook. I do have the Setting Checked on MFP's options list. I've tried removing MFP's permissions on the Facebook side of things and it's not working. I cannot get MFP to auto update to Facebook when I post a workout.

Any other ideas?

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Please accept our apologies for any problems you are having with your posts to Facebook. Would you mind taking the following steps for us to see if they will resolve the issue for you? Can you please log into your account at www.MyFitnessPal.com (if you are using an app, you can log in with the same username and password as the app).

Once you are online can you please go to the main “Settings” tab, then go to the “Facebook/twitter Sharing Settings” and try disconnecting and reconnecting the accounts. When you reconnect, please make sure that you check the box that says “Auto Post Updates to Facebook”.

If you are wanting to share your food and exercise posts with Facebook, please make sure you have also elected to make your diary public. You can check this by going back to the main “Settings” then to “Diary Settings”, scroll to the bottom of the page to “Diary Sharing” and then set your diary to “Public”. Please make sure to hit the green “save changes” button at the bottom of the page.

You may also want to double check to make sure your news feed settings are also updated to show the posts you would like to share. You can double check these as well via the main “Settings” tab, then to “Automatic News Feed Update Settings”. Please make sure there is a check next to everything you are wanting to share and those changes are also saved. Please also keep in mind that if you complete your day below the NIH recommend minimum (1000 calories for women, and 1200 for men) then it would not post to your news feed and in turn not post to Facebook

If you continue to have problems with your Facebook posts, please let us know. In the meantime, thank you so much for using the program. We wish you all the success in reaching and maintaining all of your diet and fitness goals.

All the best,
Maximiliano
