MFP and keto triddin — Dec 10, 2016 01:33PM PST
I am looking for an answer why a simple computed column for net carbs is so beyond your programmers' capabilities. I'm a programmer and computers are really good at doing math like $totalCarbs - $fibre, I would think that with the tremendous upsurge in popularity with keto (I'm not sure you've noticed the surge in people asking for net carbs recently) that this is something you are passing along to management, otherwise they would be doing something about it. I am paying for premium, and I am keto, and I want my paid for product to better support me.
And Logan, before you post your standard "At this time, there is not a way to keep track of net carbs within our program. We will definitely consider adding this feature for a future update. For now, you should be able to track your daily total carbs and fiber. You can then keep track of your net carbs (total carbs – fiber) via the “notes” section.", I've read it all before, like about 50 times, I'm not interested in your canned response, go get someone who actually gives a shit to give me a real answer, please. Surely you realize that if it's a common enough question to create a canned response for, that it's an actual pain point for your customers and a point where a small improvement can make a large improvement to the company's bottom line, right?

Thanks for following up with us. Our apologies if the previous response did not fully address your concern. We can certainly understand your frustration, however, to say that I personally don’t care is simply not true. Surely your realize that as support agents we do not have the final say over which features get added to the app or website. We take the requests and feedback that we receive from users, like yourself, and share them with our product team, which we have done.
As a whole, we do our best to add as many recommendations as we can and we follow certain guidelines when improving our program, such as the number of requests we receive, along with the ability to add the feature, and the timeline of projects already in progress. Even though many features may seem like an easy addition, there are many behind the scenes complications for even the simplest of requests, especially since our program is complex and runs on several platforms.
In the meantime, we greatly appreciate you taking the time to let us know which additions would have the greatest impact on your MyFitnessPal experience.

Glad I looked here before I upgraded.
