Exercise + steps jonnymayes93 — Mar 11, 2017 02:33PM PST
Today I ran approx. 14km and burned 1008 calories. In addition my Garmin connected 12,615 steps and 915 calories. However, many of these steps would have been from my run. Does MFP take this into account and have I burnt 1923 calories? I am basically asking if MFP is overestimating my calories.

Hey thanks for posting your question. When tracking your total calories for the day and then logging an individual exercise, the program uses the start time and duration of the entry and replaces your normal calorie burn during that same time with the calorie burn from the exercise.
