MFP is not reading my weight from Apple Health app. andysallan8986 — Mar 12, 2017 07:18PM PDT

MFP is not reading my weight from Apple Health app even though it has read rights. I update my weight every day in Health (sourced from a third party app, fitbit via sync solver, which works perfectly). MFP remains on a single, not updated weight and seems to rely on manual entry.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

We would suggest linking Fitbit straight to your MyFitnessPal account to see if your future weights sync directly over to us.

Hi Maximiliano, Thanks for your response. I have tried connecting my fitbit account directly to MFP, but this has not worked either, it does not update my current weight in MFP (note, I don't use the fitbit to record data but only because the program links my Aria scales records to Apple Health; I use Apple Watch to record activity data). Any other suggestions?

Thanks for getting back in touch with us.

We are not seeing an active Fitbit connection on our end. Can you please try connecting this once more and recording a new weight entry?

Hi Maximiliano, Thanks again for your prompt response. I did disconnect my Fitbit account after it did not work. I have now re-linked Fitbit and MFP accounts and it seems to be working now. I will monitor it to check it works properly. My only question now is, because my Apple Watch and Phone record my steps and workouts and send this data to MFP, will there be a clash of data from the Fitbit account (which I don't track steps or activity with) if steps and activity are zero in Fitbit? It doesn't appear so, but wanted to check.
Thank you.

Hello,

It looks like Apple is sending over steps correctly and that Fitbit is not causing an errors on our end. Please get back in touch with us if you start to see any issues.

All the best,
