Magnesium Tracking randylegrant — Mar 19, 2017 06:57AM PDT

Please add Magnesium tracking. I have to enter food in 2 apps (MyFitnessPal and Cronometer) just to track Magnesium. Thank you.

Hey thanks for posting and sharing your feature request. We’re definitely considering adding native support for tracking additional nutrients, such as magnesium, as well as supplements, or medications. In the meantime, many users use the Notes area to record these additional items.

As an alternative, you can create a new Meal category called “magnesium”. You can then create a custom food entry in the food database to represent your vitamin or supplement, and log this item to your diary when you consume it.

Warm Regards,

Interesting way to track it for now. I would also appreciate the addition of tracking magnesium as well as vitamin e. Both of these nutrients are listed as required (along with calcium, fiber, potassium, and vitamins a & c which myfitnesspal is already tracking).
