From Wahoo to MFP saintor1 — Apr 20, 2017 04:48PM PDT

I have a Wahoo Tickr chest monitor paired with their Android App. When I am done I post it to MFP.

The problem is that the description of the activity that I am doing from within Wahoo is not the same as the one posted in MFP. I use 'Indoor Bike' from Wahoo and I see 'Walking, 15 mins per km, leisurely pace' on MFP. The numbers figures are ok. Anyway to solve this?

Our apologies for any confusion or differences in how an item is represented within one of our partner apps verses our program. Since our partners use a different database for exercise and food items than we do, when these items transfer between programs, they may not always be exact.

When a single exercise transfers from a partner to MyFitnessPal it will find the closest match in our system and list that exercise as being performed. Though the name of the exercise may be different, the duration and calories burned should be the same on both programs. If not, please do let us know.

Also please note that if you are using an all day activity tracker, only a total of calories burned will transfer from the partner to MyFitnesspal, not individual exercise. You will then see any difference in activity via the adjustment line total. You can click on the “i” next to the adjustment online or tap on the adjustment in an app to understand this adjustment.

If you are using a partner that will transfer your food from MyFitnessPal to your partner, please note this will only show as a total of calories consumed on the partner side, individual items will not be listed.

Also note only future information will transfer between programs after the connection has been made, past information will not sync.

Please let us know if you have any additional questions, or if you feel information is not correctly transferring and you would like us to further investigate. In the meantime, thank you so much for using the program. We wish you all the success in reaching and maintaining all of your health and fitness goals.

Warm Regards,
Logan

"When a single exercise transfers from a partner to MyFitnessPal it will find the closest match in our system and list that exercise as being performed"

I did a test. In Wahoo I changed both descriptions of the daily activity and profile to "Bicycling, 19-23 kph, moderate (cycling, biking, bike riding)" as worded in MFP; the result shown in MFP is always "Walking, 15 mins per km, leisurely pace". In this case, this is one activity a day but I understand your constraint of summarized data. It doesn't seem that it will be solved, but nonetheless the critical function of reporting numbers works. Thank you for your very quick answer.
