Hi fionacampbell595,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. In reviewing your account, it does look as though your Fitbit connection is in a weird state. Would you complete the following steps to ensure we have a completely severed connection from Fitbit, in order to create a new, fresh one to MyFitnessPal:

First, log into your Fitbit account, click the gear icon and choose “settings”.

Once inside the settings, click the Applications tab and locate MyFitnessPal. Once you find MyFitnessPal click “revoke” access.

Once you revoke access on Fitbit you will need to go back to MyFitnessPal and relink.

Additionally, once relinked please make sure you have Fitbit chosen as your primary step source within the MyFitnessPal app, which could cause the adjustment not to come through. Would you please select Steps from the app menu and choose Fitbit as your primary step source.

Let us know if this gets things sorted out for you! We look forward to hearing back.

I'm going through this same thing right now, and I can't seem to get it to work. I've been sitting here on the computer trying to resolve it for an hour instead of walking lol!

We do not actually see a Fitbit account connected to your MyFitnessPal profile.

You can link your Fitbit account from our website, or via iOS apps.
Once you have registered your Fitbit tracker and created an account at
On the Web
Log in to, visit this link and click “Connect Accounts”, which should be directly under the “Buy” Option

In our iOS apps
Launch the MyFitnessPal app and go to the main Menu on the left hand side, then Scroll to “Apps & Devices”, scroll down to Fitbit Tracker, then hit the blue “Connect” button.

You will be taken to a page at where you can authorize the connection between your MyFitnessPal account and your Fitbit account. (If you are not already logged in at, you will need to log in before you can complete the authorization).

If you are using one of our other apps, simply connect online and the connection will transfer to those apps.

Sorry that you are running into an issue connecting your accounts. It’s very possible that you may have accidentally created more than one MyFitnessPal account in the past, and your Fitbit is linked to a different account. Currently, you can only have Fitbit linked to one MyFitnessPal account at a time.

Would you mind trying to go to your Fitbit account, and then settings, then applications. find where your MyFitnessPal is currently linked, and hit the “revoke access” button. Then can you wait about 15 minutes, and then log into your current MyFitnessPal account, then go to the main “apps” tab, find Fitbit and try linking the accounts again.

If you continue to run into the a problem, please let us know.
