Hello McDickxor,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us and apologies for the frustration with not being able to add foods to your food diary. We are aware of the problem and are investigating to find the cause.

We could use your input on the issue you’re experiencing to help the investigation. Would you provide us with some additional information?

-What date did this start happening for you?

-In what web browser are you experiencing this issue?

-What is your browser version?

-What OS is installed on your computer?

-Does it happen if you use a different web browser or only in this one? If so, which browser is working for you?

-Are you having trouble with all four of your lists ( Recent/Frequent/My Meals/Recipes )? Or only with certain ones?

-Are you having trouble with adding food, when you search our database for an item? Or only when adding food from one of your lists?

-Would you mind giving us the exact steps you are taking when you see this issue? Step by step instructions from the point you login to the website, and what exactly you are clicking on and searching for are very helpful for our team to isolate exactly where the failure is occurring.

Example: Login > click Food Tab > Click Add Food under Breakfast > Search “banana” > click search button > Select top result “bananas, raw” > click Add Food to Diary Button > Receive “Sorry, but the site is temporarily down for maintenance. We should be back up shortly. Please try again in a few minutes.” error
Example: Login > click Food Tab > Click Add Food under Breakfast > Click Frequent tab > Observe Frequent list blank

Lastly, we have added this bug to our Website Known Issues help page, so although we are still working to collect and compile data on this bug, we will make sure to update that page if we have any new information.

We look forward to hearing back.

Best,

Ripley

Started Friday/Saturday.
Using Chrome:
Version 59.0.3071.115 (Official Build) (64-bit)
MacOS:
10.12.5 (16F73)

Works on Safari, firefox.

Console log output for a reload on the add food to diary page show this error:

XMLHttpRequest cannot load https://www.myfitnesspal.com/food/load_recent. Response for preflight is invalid (redirect)

Steps:
Login -> Click Food Tab -> Click Add Food -> Add Food page loads with no foods in it.

Doing a checkin for weight also never updates the weight.

Thanks!

Nathan
