Trail deeclarkin — Jul 12, 2017 08:55AM PDT

I'm currently on a free trail which I do not wish to continue. It does not give me an option to cancel this through iTunes on my iphone. Can you please cancel it for me? Or tell me how to do this?

Hello,

You may cancel your recurring subscription at any time before the next renewal date. Your membership or subscription might renew if you don’t cancel your membership or subscription more than 24 hours before your renewal date.

You are canceling the next billing charge — Premium features will remain available to you until the end of your current paid subscription period, regardless of when you cancel the automatic renewal.

Please note that you must process a request for cancellation of your renewal using the same platform on which you originally paid.

iOS

Subscriptions purchased via our iOS app are managed in your iTunes account controls. Please see this article from Apple to learn how to manage or cancel a recurring subscription:

Android

Subscriptions purchased via our Android app are managed in your Google Play Store account controls. Please see this article from Google to learn how to manage or cancel a recurring subscription:

Web

Log in to http://www.myfitnesspal.com and click “My Home” then “Premium”

On the Premium detail page, click “Subscription Settings” in the upper right corner.

Set the “Auto-Renewal” menu from “On” to “Off” to opt out of Premium at the end of your current billing cycle.

I did the premiums for $49.99 the week for the year, which I only wanted it for one month. I cancelled this thru i-tunes and they said it would cancel after a year. Why can't the difference from a month to a year be given back???

Hi chrisabbott982,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. When you purchase the $49.99 yearly subscription, it is a subscription for the entire year. So if you purchase in July of 2017, and then decide to cancel the subscription renewal through iTunes, it will cancel the subscription renewal in July 2018, one year after the current subscription has expired.

If you would like to only have MyFitnessPal Premium for one month, you can purchase the $9.99 mostly subscription instead of the $49.99.

If you are actually looking for a refund for your purchase, and are not looking to cancel the subscription, you would need to contact them directly regarding any refunds (since you purchased via Apple’s App Store), as there is no way for us to have access to that payment on our end. Please use this link to submit a request for a refund.

Hope this helps! We wish you the best of luck in meeting and maintaining all your fitness goals!

Best,

Ripley

Hi, you have not answered my question at all. ITunes does not give an option to cancel my trail. It states that my trail is up on 20th July. Then below there are 2 options 1 month or 1 year subscriptions. There is no option to cancel. I have looked at all of the apple forums and they state to just click cancel (which I don't have as an option. Can you confirm if I will be asked on 20th July if I want to continue with premium or will be automatically subscribe me for the year? If this doesn't work, will deleting my account work? I have been in touch with apple and they have said to contact you. I'm getting extremely frustrated with this.

Hello,

Sorry this has been such an ordeal. If you are not seeing this cancel option in iTunes, we would suggest contacting Apple support directly about that issue.

We know you mentioned that you looked at Apple forums to cancel, but we would suggest getting in touch with them so they can straighten out your subscription settings.

Thanks!
