Don't Understand the Steps Calorie tracking sarawtx — Aug 28, 2017 06:56AM PDT

I used another App and it automatically adjusted the steps (tracked on my phone) to calories so if I went on a long walk, I could see that my total available kcal for the day was adjusted which meant that I didn't risk under-eating. I don't understand why the myfitnesspal tracks my steps (currently 86 at 7am) but does not add anything in the { Goal - Food + Exercise = Remaining }? I don't want to have to do the math myself if I go for a long walk and then I might be under-eating if my tracking doesn't show any adjustment for the exercise. I read the FAQ post and it doesn't make any sense! When I go to "Calorie Adjustment" it shows that the projected burn 1,830- I don't understand. Why not just estimate a total sedentary life and then adjust by additional steps. Is there a video or tutorial on how to understand this. I already changed Negative Calorie adjustments in the settings and it didn't change anything.
