Adding members to Groups not working ButterballBookworm — Aug 30, 2017 11:26AM PDT

Hi there, there seems to be much trouble right now getting people into groups. When we send them the invite by name, they get no invite. When we send them a link to click on, some people can click Join and request to join, and others can't even load the page. It says something like "Oops, you don't have permission to do that" when they try the URL. This was working a few days ago, so not sure what happened, but it's really bad timing as we have a challenge starting in a few days!!

There is currently a limitation in our system where users who haven’t previously visited the community pages are not appearing for group owner’s to invite.

If there are users you aren’t able to invite to your group because they don’t show up when typing their username, one workaround is to send them a private message or write on their wall with a link to the group (we suggest private messages for private groups). Once they have visited the community pages, you should be able to invite them to your group.

Please note that invitations to groups don’t currently show up in your primary MyFitnessPal notifications but in the community specific notifications located under the bell icon on the community pages.
