Apple Health Active Energy vs. MyFitnessPal Exercise jessicaellabr7 — Sep 12, 2017 07:15PM PDT

I setup My Fitness Pal to sync all of my Health Data from Apple's Health app. When I look at the calories burned in My Fitness Pal it shows today under "Exercise" that I burned 13 calories but when I open the Health app it shows that I burned 280 calories under "Active Energy". I'm wondering how My Fitness Pal takes the "Active Energy" calories from the Health app and calculates the "Exercise" calories? Is there a setting I need to change so that My Fitness Pal will reflect the same calories burned through "Exercise" that the Health app shows through "Active Energy".

Thanks for you help.

Hey thanks for posting your question. Sorry for any confusion regarding your calorie adjustment. The calorie adjustment is not showing your tracked exercise calories but rather the amount by which your total calorie burn for the day has exceeded our calculation for your day to day calorie burn. This means that your adjustment line will show as 0 until you have earned the extra calories in the form of an adjustment.

If you would also like to track your steps with your device, please open the Steps tab in the Menu screen and select it as your source for steps tracking
