Pact Refund drsailer — Oct 07, 2017 05:46AM PDT

Seems like MyFitness Pal is dealing with Pact. I got an email from Pact saying I might be eligible for a refund due to an FTC settlement. I am a little nervous that I need to either give up credit card or PayPal info as directed by the website from the email. Can you give me assurance that this will only be used for refunds and that the email I received is correct?

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Unfortunately, we cannot give any reassurance regarding your payment information since Pact is completely different company from us. They were one of our integration partners (like Fitbit, Garmin, Samsung, etc), but we do not have any additional insight into how they are handling their company’s closure or payments on their back end. You would have to reach out directly to them if you have any concerns about the email that you received.

That being said, we do know that they have shut down, and have ensured that our members are no longer able to link them to their MyFitnessPal account.
