Thanks for asking. Sorry for any confusion but we’re unclear whether you are referring to removing entries from your Recent & Frequent lists or from your My Foods list. Here is the information for both, starting with the Recent & Frequent lists.

The Frequent and Recent lists are designed to automatically add to and delete based on frequency of use. However, since the lists can hold several items, this may take time before items start to automatically drop off the lists based on a lack of use.

Currently, you can only manually delete items from the frequent list, and this can only be done in our iPhone and iPad apps, or online, at (sign in with the same username and password as the app). Though, at times, when you delete them from the website, they may also delete from the app, this may not always be the case. Sometimes, the syncing between the two does not pick up the item has been deleted, and therefore they remain on the app, even though they’ve been deleted on the website.

The recent list can not be manually deleted from. We understand this can be a bit frustrating for our members who would like more control over their lists, and we are definitely looking into finding ways to add more as a future possibility.

If instead you are referring to your My Foods list, you can edit any food you have personally added to your database, and you can delete personal foods, as well, provided you have not shared them with the public database. At this time it is not possible to delete any food you’ve elected to share on the main database, you can only edit those foods.

On the Web
Click on the “Food” tab, then click “My Foods.” Search for the food you’d like to edit or delete, then click on that item in the search results. Finally, click on the “Edit” or “Delete” button to make modifications to your food.
In our iOS apps
In the Menu (or “More” page) tap “My Recipes & Foods” then “My Foods.”
Tap the item you wish to edit, then tap “Edit Food”
Be sure to save your changes.
In our Android app
In the Menu tap “My Recipes & Foods” then “Foods.”
Tap the food and make changes on the next screen.
Be sure to save your changes.

To delete a personal food from that list:
iPad and iPhone users: swipe the item from right to left, then tap “Delete”
Android users: Tap the “Edit” (pencil) icon, place a check next to the items, then tap the “Delete” (trash can) icon
