Food Diary on app won't let me search the database Currenal — Nov 08, 2017 08:33AM PST

I have the new Google Pixel 2 and I just downloaded the MFP app. When I click on the plus button to add food, it will only search Recent, Frequent, My Foods, Meals, or Recipes. It will not let me search the entire database to add food. It will only search options that I have previously logged. I have already tried uninstalling and reinstalling. I am able to search and add new food from the website, but not the app. Will this issue be fixed soon? I've noticed there are a lot of instances of this on Android or non-Apple phones in the last couple of years.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to contact us and we are sorry to hear you are having a problem searching the main food database.

Once you choose a meal to which you wish to add your item (Breakfast, Lunch, etc), there should be a search bar at the top of the app. Type the food item for which you are looking into the search bar, and then make sure to hit either the “Search” button or magnifying glass (see attached image for example) button directly on your keyboard (where you would normally see the “Return” button).

This should then prompt the search of our food database, pull up a list of search results from our main food database. If this does not yield any search results, please do let us know, as we would be happy to further triage this with you.
