When I signed up I did it with Facebook. I'm now trying to connect another app (Trainerize) to MyFitnessPal but it asks for my username and password rather than allowing connection via Facebook. Therefore I am trying to disconnect Facebook authentication from my account. It asks me to set up a password but nothing happens when clicking Continue.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. We have received reports that some users are not able to create a password in order to disconnect their Facebook account online and we are currently investigating the issue. You can track the issue here
In the meantime, you can try disconnecting Facebook in the MyFitnessPal app or through Facebook’s end online.
In the MyFitnessPal app, under the Menu Bar or More tab tap Settings>Sharing & Privacy>Facebook Settings>Disconnect.
On Facebook’s end, go to https://www.facebook.com/settings, click Apps, and then click the X to remove MyFitnessPal.

Hey, I am having this issue too and I notice that the link you give to track the issue doesn't even have this issue listed. Are you currently working on a fix? I would like to be able to connect other apps and am concerned that disconnecting from facebook via facebook itself without setting a password here will make my current account inaccessible.

I'm having this trouble too!!! If I want to export data it wants to send to an old email not in use.

To cofnrim, are you having an issue with unlinking Facebook, with the Premium feature of exporting your data, or both?

MFP is really screwing up here. The problem is simple. We cannot disconnect our Facebook accounts from MFP while retaining our accounts.
We CANNOT disconnect from the FB side, because that will do nothing on the MFP side. We'll still need to log in, and the only way to set a password is through the MFP Facebook deactivation process.

Oh good, it's not just me. I tried on my phone and computer on two separate browsers on each device and couldn't get to work. Like everyone else, I'm trying to link to other apps that require a login but can't use Facebook to do so, so looks like I'm stuck as well. At this rate might as well just start over with a new email...

HA! I tried to create a new account with the same email but received an error. It prompted me to reset my password so I said, what the heck. Opened my email, clicked the link, and I was able to create a password! Not sure about being able to disconnect Facebook completely, but at least now I can sign in through 3rd party apps and retrieve the data from MFP.

I'm having the same issue too. I cannot disconnect from facebook to be able to create a password and link Trainerize. :(

2.5 months and this is still not addressed. Very frustrating. The least they could do is offer us some kind of workaround. Like maybe we could call someone to help us do it manually on their end.

I regret setting up everything using my facebook login because now I can't sync with any APP. When is this going to be fixed?

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Our apologies for the issue. You can try resetting your password here to have MyFitnessPal send you a password for the account. You should be able to use that password along with your email address to log in to MyFitnessPal.

None of the suggestions from MFP have worked. It's been months yet disconnecting facebook is still impossible. There's absolutely no evidence that this is going to be solved.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Yes, this bug is still active within MyFitnessPal. It’s part of a larger issue that we are working to address, but is taking some time to isolate the root cause, do the work for the fixes, and get it implemented into production. I can assure you we are working on it, but do not have an ETA as to when the fix will be live. We have this issue listed on our Website Known Issues page, and will update it as we have any additional info.
