FITBIT yyancey — Jan 09, 2018 02:00PM PST

My fitbit will record calories on my fitness pal automatically. Does it assume I start with zero calories or does it consider my start calories? I hope this makes sense. Before I had my fitbit, I recorded my fitness level which is sitting a desk most of the day. I want to loose 2lbs per week. gives me 1200 calories for eating per day. I don't know what to do with the calories the fitbit adds. Thank you for your help.

Hey thanks for posting your question. Sorry for any confusion regarding your calorie adjustment. The calorie adjustment is not showing your tracked exercise calories but rather the amount by which your total calorie burn for the day has exceeded our calculation for your day to day calorie burn. This means that your adjustment line will show as 0 until you have earned the extra calories in the form of an adjustment.

If you would also like to track your steps with your device, please open the Steps tab in the Menu screen and select it as your source for steps tracking
