Only syncs steps from Garmin simonjamesstacey — Mar 08, 2018 08:46AM PST

I have recently bought a Garmin VivoSmart 3 which I am using to log steps and sessions at the gym. The Garmin Connect has been linked to MFP and it is automatically taking the steps from my calories but it does not take into consideration any calories burned during workouts?

The annoying thing is that it works fine in the other direction. The Garmin Connect app updates with food entered into MFP but these workouts are not being deducted.

I know this isnt a massive problem as I can use Garmin Connect to track the calories but I was wondering if there was an obvious answer to the above.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. To clarify, for your workouts at the gym, are you logging the exercise through your tracker or in to Garmin Connect? Do these workouts appear as individual workouts in Garmin Connect?

All the best,
