duplicate steps and calories peterbernstein1 — Mar 12, 2018 09:03AM PDT

I have a Garmin Watch.
If I do a workout on Garmin will it connect with myFitnessPal without me having to input it manually and therefore duplciate with my steps?
And if I do have to input a workout manually, I guess this will duplicate with my Garmin steps?
Please let me know

Hey thanks for posting your question. If you were wearing your Garmin tracker during the exercise then you will not need to also manually enter it. The exercise is then factored into your total calories so that you will not receive dual credit for that activity.

If you manually input an exercise in MyFitnessPal, the calorie burn from the exercise will show up in your calorie summary right away. Your calorie adjustment will then be reduced by the calorie burn for the exercise so as not to receive dual credit.

Warm Regards,
