I want to create a password - but it's impossible to disconnect from Facebook (issue from 2015!!!) carloscrestana — Mar 24, 2018 02:09PM PDT

Hi, I just wanted to created a email/password, but since I initially connected with Facebook, it asks me to disconnect from Facebook first. However, whenever I try to do that, it goes into the "type your password/confirm your new password" screen and hitting "Continue" does NOT do anything. Tried disconnect from FB itself to no avail.

Investigating through your forums, I can find people from 2015 to 2017 with the same issues - apparently the only way of solving this is to ask here to someone send me a new temporary password, so, can you please do that?

(Also, guys, who's prioritizing your backlog there? 3 years with the same issue?! That's really, really sad. I almost canceled my account entirely... I just didn't because I have many years of data here that I don't want to lose).

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Due to the fact that the trouble you are having is password related, coupled with the fact that this is a public forum, we will need to triage this with you via email. Please contact us here, so we can do so.

To address your concern regarding this being a 3 year issue, we have occasionally had bugs in the past the have had the same symptom, but we resolved those issues within a couple months of those arising. We are currently experiencing a different bug with this same symptom, but this particular one has been around for a couple weeks, and not a couple years. Our team is aware of the issue and is working to prioritize it to get resources dedicated to fixing it. Hopefully that helps alleviate your concern over this same bug being around for that long.
