Creating Foods in "Your Personal Foods" JudyEP — Apr 14, 2018 10:37AM PDT

I am on FP through your website on my laptop on FireFox. I am trying to build the "Your Personal Foods" list. When I am in "My Foods" and click on "create food", enter details in the fields "Brand/Restaurant" and "Food Description", click on "Continue", a message says, "We think the food you submitted may already be in our database. Please check the foods below to see if your food has already been entered. If it has, you can add it to your diary. If it hasn't, click the continue button below." I find a duplicate and I click on it. Which is great as it has all the nutrition data already there. When I click on an item in the drop down list, a window appears to the right of it. The choices are "Add food to diary" and "nutrition info". Why isn't there a choice to add it to "My Foods" list. Can it be added please? Otherwise, I have to create my own food and add the nutrition details and ignore the database. This takes more time. Can you please have this option added?

Hey thanks for posting your question. The My Foods list currently populates with foods that you have personally added. We will will certainly look into adding a way for users to add existing foods to the list for future updates.

In the meantime, you might try adding the entry to your diary and then saving it as a meal, so you may add it from that list in the future. If you are not eating the item at that time, you may delete the entry from your diary after saving it to your Meals list.

Warm Regards,
