FitBit and My fitness pal unable to link Ameliam917 — May 01, 2018 04:07AM PDT

I got a new fitbit. I had one before that was linked to my fitness pal. I tried to link my new fitbit to my fitness pal and it said that an account is already linked. I then revoked access on the fitbit dashboard and tried to link again, but it won't let me.

Hi there,

Our apologies for any issues with your Fitbit data syncing to MyFitnessPal. Around 8:40pm on Sunday, April 29th, we noticed an issue with the sync between Fitbit and MyFitnessPal. We released an update to fix the problem, but it looks like it has returned again this morning. We are investigating the issue and working on a resolution. Your Fitbit data may not update properly or sync at all while we work on a fix.

We will post any updates here.

Thank you for your patience while we work on a fix.

Best,
Bruce

Hi Larafit28

The issue was resolved. Currently I do not see a Fitbit account linked to Larafit28. Can you link them again and see if your data starts to sync by the end of the day? Be sure to also set Fitbit as your steps source. To do this, tap More>Steps>Fitbit.

All the best,
Bruce

Hello,
I have a similar issue. Myfitnesspal isn't pulling in any data from fitbit. I have disconnected and connected the apps several times through the settings of both apps, but still doesn't work. In fitbit settings I can see that Fitbit has authorised myfitnesspal to take in activity and exercise data, but Myfitnesspal doesn't show to be connected to Fitbit.
Thank you
Reshma

Hi reshmashaik

Would you please provide your fitbit ID# so we may try a search with that on our end? You are welcome to provide your ID# here, keep in mind that it is a public forum, however, if you would prefer to share it privately, please click here to reach us via email instead.

Steps to get user ID#
1. Log in at http://www.fitbit.com and click on your profile photo.
2. This will take you to your Fitbit.com Profile and now copy the URL from your browser’s address field and paste it in the email reply

Your fitbit ID will look something like this: www.fitbit.com/user/1234A

Kind regards,
Bruce

Hi reshmashaik

We are not showing that that Fitbit account is linked to any MyFitnessPal account. If Fitbit shows a connected account, please revoke access, and then go to https://www.myfitnesspal.com/apps/show/30 to link the accounts once more so we can take a closer look.

If you need to revoke access, log in at www.fitbit.com and click the gear icon, then Settings>Applications. Click Revoke Access for MyFitnessPal.

All the best,
Bruce
