Confused about the Calorie Totals mcswainy — May 09, 2018 04:24PM PDT
I recently got a Fitbit Versa and starting down the path of getting fit and losing some excess fat. I want to use MFP to track food and exercises and have the Fitbit track steps, and some exercises etc. For example, today my goal was 2530. I have 1711 (seems low) for food and then 1953 for exercise with a net of -242. This doesn't make sense to me. Please help. Thank you all in advance.

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Looking at your account, I can see as of now that you have a consumed 1711 Calories for the day and your exercise Calories at this time is 1971. Since your Goal is 2530, your exercise Calories will bring this up to 4501. Your new goal (4501) minus your Calories consumed (1711) will bring your remaining Calories to 2790.
Your total Calories from Fitbit do seem high if it is just from steps data. We would recommend checking your total Calorie burn as it appears in Fitbit with what you see under your adjustment details in MyFitnessPal to make sure they match. If they do, then the sync between Fitbit and MyFitnessPal is working correctly.
Hope this helps. Please let me know if you have any other questions or feedback.
