editing nutritional information in database levypants — May 12, 2018 12:10PM PDT

Why can't I edit incorrect nutritional information for existing products?
I followed the instructions to edit some food in the data base, but it wouldn't allow the changes to be saved. I kept getting error messages about an item of the same name already existing, or that I couldn't change it without filling in the change summary box at the bottom. But, I DID fill in the change summary box at the bottom, and I KNOW an item of that name already exists, but the daily values information is wrong. I had to create a new entry with a slightly different name in order to post the correct daily values. I suspect this may be why there are so many entries already for the same product - other people are having the same problem editing existing data, so they just create a "new" entry with a slightly different name.
