Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Currently, there is not a way to remove the news feed, nor can you delete another members news feed post on your home page, but you can remove your own. What you can do in regards to your friends is remove all of their updates from showing on your news feed, without removing them as a friend.
To do this, just go to our website at https://www.myfitnesspal.com/. Sign into the members log in area with the same username and password as you do with the app. Once you are online, go to “My Home”. Find the member post on your News Feed you’d like to remove and to the right of the post should be an X, click this to pull up a “remove” link, and confirm. This should keep them as a friend but remove their updates. If ever you wish to have their updates show up again, just go to your “friends” tab online, find the friend and “unhide” them. These changes should also sync to the app.
To remove your own post, in the app, go to more, then settings, then sharing & privacy, then news feed sharing, or online go to the main Settings, then Automatic News Feed settings. In this section un-check all the boxes and hit save. This will disable your future updates from posting. You would still need to delete any previous updates. To do this go to your postings and hold and slide your finger from left to right. This should bring up a delete button.
Please note, even if you remove all posts from you or your friends, there is not a way to remove the posts from MyFitnessPal at this time. We will definitely look for alternative options for a future possibility.
All the best,
