MyfitnessPal and Garmin vivoactive are connected but the calories from MyFitnessPal do not sync saldakien — Jun 05, 2018 03:31PM PDT
I have tried everything to connect the apps but it just will not sync. The Connect app tells me to log in my calories on MyFitness but I already did it. When I click the button in Connect it goes right to the MyFitnessPal app on my phone but it will not sync. Help?

Currently I do not see a Garmin Connect account linked to the MyFitnessPal account tied to the username saldakien. Can you try linking them once more and see if that helps?
In the latest version of the Garmin Connect app, go to the Menu Bar (Android) or tap the More tab (iOS). Next, tap Settings>3rd Party Apps>MyFitnessPal. Swipe through the screens and tap the Get Started button at the end, and then Link Accounts.
On their site, https://connect.garmin.com/en-US/, you will also start under the Menu Bar by clicking the three line icon in the upper left. Next select Calories In/Out where you should see the option to connect to MyFitnessPal.
Once you have connected on the Garmin side, we recommend going to our main website at www.MyFitnessPal.com, then to the Apps tab, and double check on the right hand side of the page under “Your Apps” to make sure Garmin is now listed there.
If you are using our updated Android or iOS apps that have the Steps feature, you can elect Garmin to be your main Step source. Simply go to the menu in the app, then Steps, then add Garmin as your elected option (please note you can only have one elected Steps option).
If Garmin is showing a connected MyFitnessPal account, can you unlink that connected account and then link them once more?
To do so, go to the Menu Bar or tap the More option, then tap Settings>3rd Party Apps>MyFitnessPal>Disconnect. When completed, tap MyFitnessPal again and swipe through the pages to tap Get Started.
Be sure to also set Garmin Connect as the Steps source in MyFitnessPal when completed. To do this, under the Menu Bar orMore menu, tap Steps>Garmin Connect

I am not able to get the negative calorie assessment from my viofit2. Myfitnesspal shows I am connected to my vivofit and the vivofit says its connected to the myfitnesspal....but nothing gets recorded....I have reconnected and disconnected several times.....Help!!!

Thank you for taking the time to contact us. Though you may have earned a certain amount of calories with your Garmin, in order to see a calorie adjustment in your exercise diary, the number of calories your device projects you will burn for the entire day must be more than the amount of calories MyFitnessPal believes you will burn, based on your profile information.
Details about the calculation of any adjustment can be viewed by clicking the small “i” next to the adjustment in your Exercise Diary (on the full website), or by tapping the adjustment itself in the Exercise Diary of the MyFitnessPal on the apps (you may need to tap the adjustment in the diary and then again on the next page depending on your app version). If you do not see a line that says Garmin adjustment in the cardiovascular section, then there may be a problem with the sync. However, if you do see this line, then it should be syncing correctly, even if it says 0.
It is also important to know, if you add additional exercise to MyFitnessPal, it will adjust the Garmin calorie adjustment accordingly to not give you accidental “double-credit” for an activity. We hope this helps.
