Here's a post from 2016 concerning the problems syncing MFP with Google Fit. 2 years later, nothing has changed. Why?

It is clear from your own forum that there is a bug/some problem related to the way that MFP syncs with Google Fit on Android. Many of your users have posted about this issue and are only met with a canned response telling them to check the FAQ (https://myfitnesspal.desk.com/customer/portal/articles/2255743).

I have done a lot of digging on your forum and have not found an honest answer to this issue. Can we please get one? Otherwise, this software/service is useless.

Here is the issue. Users on Android devices use Google Fit to synchronize exercise data. This seems to work perfectly well for a random period of time, but then, with no warning/no error message, the data just stops syncing. Force closing MFP to force a sync doesn't resolve the issue. Rebooting the device doesn't resolve the issue. Disconnecting the Google Fit app from MFP and reconnecting it doesn't resolve the issue. Force closing both apps and clearing the cache for each app does not fix the issue. Uninstalling and reinstalling both apps (which is a hassle) temporarily resolved the issue. But then at random times it will happen again. Often times, it is hard to notice unless one is expecting it to happen.

The temporary solve to this problem is for your users to uninstall Google Fit and MFP and then reinstall every day. This means signing back in to both apps, reconnecting both apps, allowing permissions (if needed) to sensor data, and then resetting their Android Wear device (if they are using one). Not the best way to automate your fitness data.

Can we get a real acknowledgement of this issue, please?
